Upcoming Movie Screenings in Atlanta, GA

Regal Atlantic Station and the Plaza Theatre serve as primary hubs for the Atlanta screening scene, frequently hosting events for local film enthusiasts. Moviegoers in Georgia often find screenings scheduled at LOOK Dine-In Cinemas and Tara Atlanta, while the Emory Cinematheque at White Hall 208 provides a specialized venue for various presentations. These events typically cluster around the middle and end of the week, with Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday serving as the most common days for screenings to occur. While morning sessions are sometimes available, the majority of these screenings are held during the evening or afternoon hours to accommodate local schedules. Major studios frequently select this market for free advance screenings, allowing residents to see upcoming titles before their wide theatrical debut. Cinefind tracks new screenings and can auto-RSVP you to ensure you have a seat at these local events.

Which theaters in Atlanta host free studio screenings?+

Free studio screenings in Atlanta are frequently held at venues such as Regal Atlantic Station, Plaza Theatre, Tara Atlanta, LOOK Dine-In Cinemas, and the Emory Cinematheque.

What are the most common days for movie screenings in Atlanta?+

In Atlanta, screenings are most likely to be scheduled on Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday.

What time of day do Atlanta advance screenings usually take place?+

Most screenings in the Atlanta area are held in the evening or afternoon, though some morning options are occasionally available.

Do I have to pay for advance screenings?+

It depends on the screening. Many advance passes from studios and distributors don't cost anything, while others are ticketed - each listing shows what's required to attend.

Does a pass guarantee me a seat?+

Usually not. Most screenings are intentionally overbooked so the theater fills up, and seats go first-come, first-served at the door. A pass gets you in line, not a reserved seat.

How early should I arrive?+

Earlier than you think. For big releases, people line up well before showtime. Plan on getting there at least 45-60 minutes early, and earlier for major titles.

How do I get passes on Cinefind?+

Create a free account to see the RSVP link for any screening. Pro members can turn on alerts for films they're watching and Auto-RSVP, so Cinefind can try to claim passes for them as soon as they drop.

What's the difference between an advance screening and a repertory screening?+

Advance screenings happen before a film's release, usually with a pass rather than a ticket. Repertory screenings are showings of already-released or classic films, typically ticketed by the theater.
